All-Road bike with no compromises
The Pelago Stavanger is defined by its remarkable versatility, serving as the ultimate multi-purpose machine without compromise. Whether you are navigating local gravel trails, embarking on ambitious backcountry bike camping trips, or handling the daily commute, the Stavanger is engineered to handle it all. It remains the most adaptable bike in the Pelago line-up, bridging the gap between a rugged adventurer and a versatile commuter.
Timeless Scandinavian Design for Every Rider
Designed with a timeless aesthetic, the Stavanger range now includes a fresh colorway and updated decals that honor Pelago’s classic design language. The frame geometry is carefully balanced for multifunctional use, complemented by an inclusive size range that comfortably accommodates riders from 145cm to 210cm. This ensures that the signature Stavanger ride quality is accessible to almost everyone, regardless of height.
High-Quality CrMo Frame Built for Customization
Technically, the Stavanger is built to modern standards with a rigid CrMo frame and thru axles for enhanced stiffness and control. The tapered headtube offers the flexibility to easily upgrade to a carbon fork, while the frame is equipped with a vast array of mounting points for water bottles, racks, and fenders. It is a future-proof platform, featuring internal routing that is both dropper post ready and Di2 compatible.
Modern Performance with 1×11 and 1×12 Drivetrain Options
The Stavanger offers high-performance drivetrain options to suit every rider’s needs. Choose between the proven Shimano GRX 1×11 setup or the updated 1×12 drivetrain featured in the latest colorway for an even wider gear range. With generous tire clearance and a focus on well-thought-out details, the Stavanger remains the no-compromise solution for those who demand a single bicycle that can truly do everything.

• Frame size (1) is measured from the center of the Bottom Bracket Axis to the top of the Seat Tube (C-T).
• Rider Height suggests the average sizing for the bike-rider fit. If your height is between two sizes, choose the smaller size for more comfortable riding position.
• Stand Over Height (2) tells the height of the top tube measured from the ground. Your Inseam should always be higher than the Stand Over Height. (2)

Which frame size is right for me?
The ideal frame size depends on your height, your inseam, and your personal riding position preferences.
The frame size is measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube (C-T). To determine the correct size, compare your height to the recommended size chart, and check that your inseam is slightly taller than the standover height of the frame (the height of the top tube from the ground). This ensures you can comfortably and safely stand over the bike.
If your height falls between two sizes, we always recommend sizing down to achieve a more agile and comfortable riding position. If you are still unsure about the sizing, feel free to contact our customer service at contact@pelagobicycles.com – we are happy to help you find the perfect fit!
Can the Pelago Stavanger be set up with a 2x drivetrain?
Yes, absolutely. Even though the standard complete bike comes with a 1x (single chainring) setup, the frame is fully compatible with a 2x (double chainring) front derailleur.
You can use wide-stance gravel or road groupsets, such as Shimano GRX or compatible 2x SRAM systems.
Note: Triple (3x) cranksets have not been tested for compatibility.
What kind of accessories can I mount on the Pelago Stavanger?
The Stavanger is an extremely versatile year-round commuter and touring bike. The frame features numerous mounting points across the fork, down tube, top tube, and seat tube.
It is fully compatible with all Pelago front and rear racks, fork racks, and can hold up to three water bottle cages. Additionally, you can easily install full-coverage fenders.
Are fenders compatible with the Stavanger, and what width should I choose?
Yes, the Stavanger accommodates mudguards. We recommend a 55 mm width, which leaves plenty of clearance for wider tires and studded winter tires.
If you plan to use mudguards simultaneously with a rear rack, the mudguard must be installed using a dedicated riser kit.
Can I buy a bike using an installment plan?
Yes, financing is available both online and in our Pelago stores. For online purchases, we offer flexible payment options via Klarna. In our Helsinki and Tampere stores, the payment method is Resurs Bank. You can read more about our payment and financing options here.
